Football Recap: Cleveland Falls Short Against Ranked Clayton

Cleveland faced Clayton in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The contest between the Rams and the Comets didn't end well, with the Rams falling 20-3. The game marked the Rams' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Owen Hulbert threw for 68 yards on ten of 19 attempts. Wyatt Caldwell was his top target, picking up 37 receiving yards. On the ground, Kaleb Ferrell rushed for 57 yards.

Aiden Smalls was a one-man wrecking crew For Clayton. as he rushed for 90 yards and one TD, and also threw for 127 yards and a pair of touchdowns. That's the most rushing yards Smalls has posted since back in August. Parker Ferguson also helped out with an impressive 90 receiving yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Cleveland fell to 9-1. As for Clayton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.

As of now, neither Cleveland nor Clayton have any future games scheduled.
