Soccer Game Preview: Hillcrest vs. Woodmont

Hillcrest is 0-9-1 against Woodmont since February of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The Rams are taking a road trip to square off against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Hillcrest is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of South Carolina's top teams: Greenville, who was ranked 20th at the time (Hillcrest was ranked 23rd). The Rams fell just short of the Red Raiders by a score of 1-0 on Friday. Hillcrest have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Woodmont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 12-0 to Mauldin.

Hillcrest's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Woodmont, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Hillcrest suffered a grim 6-1 defeat to Woodmont when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
