Volleyball Game Preview: Crane Mustangs vs. Alsea Wolverines

The Crane Mustangs will square off against the Alsea Wolverines on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Crane sitting on seven straight victories and Alsea on four.

Crane is returning to their home court after beating Prairie City on theirs, despite the fact Prairie City has dominated at home this season. The Mustangs walked away with a 3-1 win over the Panthers on Saturday.

Crane had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-16, 25-9, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Alsea posted their closest victory since September 6th on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Crow, sneaking past 3-2.

Crane's win bumped their record up to 22-5-1. As for Alsea, their victory bumped their record up to 18-12.

Crane skirted past Alsea 2-1 when the teams last played back in August of 2019. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolverines turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
