Softball Recap: Breckinridge County Takes a Loss

Breckinridge County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 14-4 to the Grayson County Cougars. The Fighting Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cougars earlier this season, when they won 8-5.

Mallory Lucas was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Breckinridge County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Grayson County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Breckinridge County will host Trinity at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Raiders have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Grayson County, they will take on Owensboro at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
