Football Game Preview: Snowflake Lobos vs. Poston Butte Broncos + How To Watch

Snowflake has gone a perfect 3-0 against Poston Butte recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Lobos will face off against the Broncos at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Snowflake has five straight wins, Poston Butte has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Snowflake is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Marcos de Niza, posting a 49-18 victory. Given the Lobos' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona football rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Padres are ranked 90th) , the win on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Snowflake relied on the efforts of Jacob LaDuke, who threw for 296 yards and four touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes, and Brenner Green, who rushed for 141 yards and a pair of TDs on only 11 carries. Those four passing touchdowns gave LaDuke a new career-high. 95 of LaDuke's passing yards were hauled in by Gionn Jones, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Snowflake was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 213 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Snowflake didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jones and Colter Willis.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 43-14, which was the final score in Poston Butte's tilt against Peoria on Saturday.

Snowflake's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Poston Butte, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Snowflake beat Poston Butte 31-20 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Will the Lobos repeat their success, or do the Broncos have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
