Baseball Recap: West Muskingum Tornadoes vs. East Knox Bulldogs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against River View, West Muskingum was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They skirted past the East Knox Bulldogs 9-8. With that victory, the Tornadoes brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.

Preston Ferrell was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Grady Dollings, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

West Muskingum now has a winning record of 6-5. As for East Knox, their loss ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Muskingum will take on Maysville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for East Knox, they will challenge Cardington-Lincoln at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
