Basketball Game Preview: Montevallo Bulldogs vs. Bessemer City Tigers

The Montevallo Bulldogs just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Bessemer City Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Montevallo took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They came out on top against Westminster School at Oak Mountain by a score of 68-56.

Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Bessemer City blew West Blocton out of the water with a 60-23 final score. With Bessemer City ahead 30-10 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Montevallo pushed their record up to 15-12 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.3 points per game. As for Bessemer City, their victory bumped their record up to 5-19.
