Basketball Recap: Newport - Bellevue Comes Up Short

Newport - Bellevue played a tough contest on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Redmond Mustangs 79-40. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-16.

Newport - Bellevue has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-19 record this season. As for Redmond, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Newport - Bellevue has already played their next game (against Lincoln), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Redmond is taking a road trip to face off against Lake Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lake Washington will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Redmond surely won't give up without a fight.
