Basketball Recap: Greer Yellow Jackets vs. Riverside Warriors

The Greer Yellow Jackets pushed their score all the way to 66 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 82-66 bruising from Riverside. While losing is never fun, Greer can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 60th, while the Warriors are ranked 14th).

Several Yellow Jackets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Amiyah Clark-Lamelle, who scored 19 points along with eight assists and six rebounds. Clark-Lamelle is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 16 or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jalasia Lewis, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Riverside to victory, but perhaps none more so than Madison Garrido, who scored 29 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Garrido has scored all season. Kyndal Haroski was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.
