Soccer Recap: Shawnee Mission North Comes Up Short

Shawnee Mission North lost against Lawrence Free State back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bison lost 8-0 to the Firebirds. Shawnee Mission North fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against Lawrence Free State since on Tuesday.

Shawnee Mission North's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2-1. As for Lawrence Free State, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shawnee Mission North will venture away from home to face off against Olathe North on Thursday. Olathe North will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Shawnee Mission North surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lawrence Free State, they are taking a road trip to square off against Lawrence at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lawrence Free State are facing Lawrence at the right time seeing as Lawrence are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
