Softball Recap: Tuesday's Defeat Ends Sabetha's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Sabetha unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jefferson West Tigers. The Bluejays were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Regan Hasenkamp made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Erin Boltz, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

Sabetha's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Jefferson West, their win bumped their record up to 14-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Sabetha is set to square off against their familiar foe Riley County at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Jefferson West will take on rival Perry-Lecompton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
