Basketball Recap: Rocky River Gets the Win

Buckeye came into Friday's game looking for another win against Rocky River, but Michael Swallow wouldn't allow it. The Rocky River Pirates secured a 62-58 W over the Buckeye Bucks on Friday thanks in part to Swallow, who went 6 of 8 en route to 18 points and six rebounds. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Henry Ward, who posted three points. He also posted an assist, marking his first of the season.

Rocky River's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Buckeye, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6.

Rocky River will head out to take on Westlake at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. Westlake is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.9 points per game this season. As for Buckeye, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 73-66 loss against Olmsted Falls on the 18th.
