Volleyball Recap: Metea Valley Mustangs vs. Geneva Vikings

Metea Valley extended their postseason success on Thursday against Geneva. They came out on top against the Geneva Vikings by a score of 2-0. The victory was nothing new for the Mustangs as they're now sitting on four straight.

While Metea Valley won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-16.

Addison Torain paced Metea Valley's offense, picking up ten kills. Torain got some help from Katie Schuele and her 23 assists. Ashley Ward (#1) controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Metea Valley is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 28-8 record this season. As for Geneva, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 21-16 record this season.
