Baseball Recap: Clarke Prep Victorious

15 must be Clarke Prep's lucky number: they beat Bessemer Academy with that score not once but twice on Thursday. The Gators beat the Rebels by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 15-12. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Gators.

Gray Wilson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Clarke Prep is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-7 otherwise. Wilson was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Clarke Prep now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Bessemer Academy, they dropped their record down to 9-20-1 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Clarke Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bessemer Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fort Dale Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
