Basketball Game Preview: Patriot Warriors vs. Hillcrest Trojans

Patriot hasn't had much luck against Hillcrest recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Patriot Warriors will be home for the holidays to greet the Hillcrest Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Patriot is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. The matchup between them and Citrus Hill didn't end well, with Patriot falling 73-55. The Warriors were down 57-34 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, Hillcrest entered their contest against Arlington on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Hillcrest took a 54-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Arlington. The game marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Patriot's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Hillcrest, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-2.

Patriot was taken down by Hillcrest 72-39 when the teams last played back in January. Can Patriot avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
