Basketball Recap: Wesley Henderson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Garinger over Rocky River

Garinger lost against Rocky River back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wildcats fell 50-41 to the Ravens.

Garinger's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Wesley Henderson, who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Aaron Lawler, who earned 13 points and five boards.

Rocky River's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ethan Petty led the charge by putting up 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Myles Linton, who had eight points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.

Garinger now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Rocky River, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Garinger didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 76-53 defeat against Cardinal Gibbons on the 22nd. As for Rocky River, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 74-67 win against Hopewell on the 24th.
