Basketball Recap: Redeemer Classical Takes a Loss

Redeemer Classical lost to Stonewall Jackson back in December of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Griffins took a 69-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Generals. The Griffins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Redeemer Classical saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Samuel Peters went 12-for-24 on his way to 33 points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals. That was a full 51.6% of the Griffins' points, marking the sixth time in a row Peters has posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Michael, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 13 boards.

Redeemer Classical's record is now 5-12. As for Stonewall Jackson, their win ended a 16-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-16.

Coming up, Redeemer Classical won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Massanutten Military Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Griffins will be up against the Colonels' rather soft defense (which has allowed 73.14 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Stonewall Jackson, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll take on Page County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Generals will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54.56 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
