Baseball Recap: Cocoa Comes Up Short

Cocoa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 32nd straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Palm Bay Pirates, falling 21-5. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, with their most recent defeat being a 15-0 loss last Friday.

Cocoa's defeat dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Palm Bay, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-10.

Coming up, Cocoa will face off against Evans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.43 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Palm Bay, they will square off against Space Coast at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates are facing the Vipers at the right time seeing as the Vipers are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
