It was a proper cat-fight when Jersey took on Greenfield/Northwestern on Saturday. The Jersey Panthers put the hurt on the Greenfield/Northwestern Tigers with a sharp 48-25 win. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 21 points or more this season.

Jersey's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Meredith Gray, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Cali Breden, who posted nine points and five rebounds.

Jersey was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in November of 2024.

The win made it two in a row for Jersey and bumps their season record up to 13-10. As for Greenfield/Northwestern, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-14.

Jersey will be taking part in a tournament against Nokomis at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Jersey has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Greenfield/Northwestern, they will take on Granite City in a tournament on Monday. Greenfield/Northwestern is facing Granite City at the right time seeing as Granite City is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
