Flint Hill took a 13-run defeat the last time they faced off against Benedictine, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Huskies never let the Cadets get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Huskies have posted since April 7th.

Flint Hill secured the victory behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Sebastian Gratacos, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Flint Hill has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for Benedictine, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15-1 record this season.
