Baseball Recap: South Spencer Takes a Loss

South Spencer lost against Forest Park back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rebels fell 11-6 to the Rangers. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

South Spencer saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ty Brown, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The Rebels are 2-1 when Brown posts two or more runs, but 4-5 otherwise. Another was Ty Mattingly, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

South Spencer's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Forest Park, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. South Spencer will challenge rival Princeton at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Forest Park is set to square off against their familiar foe Heritage Hills at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
