Basketball Recap: Dodge City Comes Up Short

Dodge City lost against Great Bend back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Dodge City Demons were beaten by the Great Bend Panthers 75-37. While losing is never fun, the Demons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while the Panthers are ranked 24th).

Dodge City's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Great Bend, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-1.

Coincidentally, Dodge City and Great Bend will both be playing Garden City the next time they take the court. Great Bend will head out to face Garden City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Dodge City will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
