Baseball Recap: Lima Senior Takes a Loss

After flying high against Rogers last Monday, Lima Senior came back down to earth. The Spartans fell just short of the Lima Central Catholic Thunderbirds by a score of 8-7 on Thursday. The Spartans have struggled against the Thunderbirds recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Riley Miller was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. Blake Hahn was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one double.

Lima Senior's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Lima Central Catholic, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lima Senior will head out to face off against Liberty Center at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lima Central Catholic, they will square off against Coldwater at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
