Mount Airy has gone a perfect 10-0 against Elkin recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. Johnson is becoming a predictor of the Buckin' Elks' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 2-12 when he doesn't). Joseph Johnson was another, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Mount Airy's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Elkin, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.
