Basketball Recap: Walnut Ridge Takes a Loss

Walnut Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Rivercrest Colts, falling 75-53. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 241st, while the Colts are ranked 84th).

Walnut Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Rivercrest, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-3.

Walnut Ridge will face off against Harrisburg at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Harrisburg is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.2 points per game this season. Rivercrest has already played their next matchup (against Izard County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
