Baseball Recap: Norfolk Academy Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for Norfolk Academy's offense. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (10-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Norfolk Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Benedictine, they moved to 8-13-1 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Coming up, Norfolk Academy will square off against Norfolk Collegiate at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mighty Oaks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Benedictine, they will host Miller School of Albemarle at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mavericks will roll in looking for their 17th straight victory, something the Cadets surely won't give up without a fight.
