Recap: Ursuline Fighting Irish vs. East
The Ursuline Fighting Irish put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on East with a sharp 82-57 win. With that victory, Ursuline brought their scoring average up to 54.8 points per game.
Ursuline found their leader in underclassman Myles Miller, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Miller pulled down eight or more rebounds. Jaylen Gunther was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six assists.
Ursuline pushed their record up to 5-0 with that victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 19.71 points. As for East, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
Ursuline will head out on the road to face off against Washington at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. East will be home for the holidays to greet Howland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Howland will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 355th, while East is ranked 168th).
