Softball Recap: Franklin Gets the Win

While Franklin's win against Dearborn wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Patriots skirted past the Pioneers 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Patriots have posted since June 8, 2024.

Serenity DeLaney was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Claire Galatis was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Franklin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Franklin's win bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Dearborn, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin will host Canton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Dearborn, they will be taking part in a tournament against Lutheran North at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
