Basketball Game Preview: Temecula Prep Patriots vs. Linfield Christian Lions + How To Watch

Temecula Prep is 1-8 against Linfield Christian since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Patriots are headed away from home for the first time to square off against the Lions at 5:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

On Wednesday, Temecula Prep got the win against Orange Vista by a conclusive 43-23. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

Temecula Prep found their leader in sophomore Bailey Litt, who went 9-for-18 en route to 22 points in addition to eight boards and five steals. Litt is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 29 games she's played dating back to last season. Samiyah Antoine was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and 14 rebounds.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Linfield Christian duked it out with Elsinore on Wednesday. The Lions were the clear victors by a 58-33 margin over the Tigers. The Lions not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since December 7, 2024 (when they won 72-4).

Temecula Prep has also opened the season with a perfect 2-0 record. As for Linfield Christian, their win bumped their record up to an identical 2-0.

Temecula Prep was able to grind out a solid victory over Linfield Christian in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 60-53. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
