Platte Valley extended their home winning streak to eight games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Lauryn Uyemura. The Platte Valley Broncos enjoyed a cozy 54-40 win over the Wray Eagles on Tuesday thanks in part to Uyemura, who posted 18 points and eight steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 29 times she's played.

Wray's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addison Jones, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 14 points. Jones also posted a block, marking her first of the season. Eryn Bledsoe was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 12 rebounds.

Platte Valley's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Wray, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Platte Valley will square off against Wiggins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wiggins has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Wray, they will challenge Highland at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Highland will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Wray surely won't give up without a fight.
