Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jayda Clark and Baileigh Page Lead Parkview to Victory

Parkview won the last time they faced Discovery and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Panthers took down the Titans 61-46. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Leading Parkview to victory were Baileigh Page and Jayda Clark. Page went 5-for-12 to rack up 14 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists, while Clark shot 67% from the field en route to 13 points and eight boards. Those seven boards gave Page a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Corrin Sevier, who posted eight points.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Parkview was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Discovery only posted five.

Despite the defeat, Discovery saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jade Jones put up 23 points. Jones is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jaedyn Gaddis, who earned five points along with eight rebounds and six steals.

Parkview's record is now 2-0. As for Discovery, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Parkview didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-31 defeat against South Gwinnett on the 21st. As for Discovery, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 53-41 loss against Brookwood on the 21st.
