Basketball Recap: Walhalla Razorbacks vs. West-Oak Warriors

The Walhalla Razorbacks stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They breezed by West-Oak at home to the tune of 71-40. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Walhalla.

Walhalla found their leader in underclassman Kami Roach, who scored 25 points along with seven steals and six assists. Roach is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Marnie Baxter, who scored 14 points along with four steals.

Despite the defeat, West-Oak saw an underclassman step up: Ashton Sosby scored 11 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sosby has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Joey Burgess, who scored ten points along with two steals.

Walhalla has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for West-Oak, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Walhalla will square off against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pendleton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 206th, while the Razorbacks are ranked 47th). West-Oak's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th.
