Softball Recap: Christopher Find Success

While Christopher's victory against Leland wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over the Chargers on Tuesday. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Chargers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Katelyn Vega spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on ten hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Alexis Herbst was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Bella Loredo, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Christopher's record now sits at 12-7. As for Leland, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-4.
