Softball Recap: Spring Valley Comes Up Short

Spring Valley lost against Midland Valley on Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Spring Valley came up short against Midland Valley, falling 20-6. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Spring Valley saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Pheonix Wright, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Wright also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another was Allie Pritchard, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Spring Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Midland Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Spring Valley will venture away from home to take on Westwood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Midland Valley, they will challenge Aiken at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The last three games Aiken has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
