Rich Township hasn't had much luck against Kankakee recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Raptors will challenge the Kays at 4:30 p.m. Rich Township is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.

Rich Township's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Thornridge as they made off with a 13-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raptors.

Rich Township's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Landon Hughes, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Brandon Bankhead was another, getting on base in both of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Rich Township always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .760. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Kankakee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Thornwood.

Kankakee's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Rich Township, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Rich Township has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.5 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Kankakee struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.8 strikeouts.
