Volleyball Recap: Proctor Rails vs. Esko Eskomos

Proctor lost against Esko on September 6th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rails took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eskomos. The Rails have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Proctor ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 27-29, 25-23, 25-19.

Despite the loss, Proctor saw an underclassman step up: sophomore SAVANNAH BAKER had 16 digs and two aces. BAKER is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played. LILLY TALARICO also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Proctor's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Esko, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Proctor will venture away from home to face off against Mesabi East at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Esko, they will head out to challenge Floodwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
