If North Fork wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Meeker, they should've done a better job of containing Rylee Sullivan. The Meeker Cowboys came out on top in a nail-biter against the North Fork Miners on Saturday, sneaking past 76-73 for which the team can thank Sullivan, who dropped a double-double with 32 points and ten boards. She is becoming a predictor of Meeker's success: when she posts at least 20 points the team is 4-2 (and 7-9 when she doesn't).

Despite the loss, North Fork saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Alyssa Lovelace shot 43% from the field on her way to 17 points in addition to eight assists and five rebounds. Those eight assists gave Lovelace a new career-high. Meri Hollembeak was another key player, dropping a double-double with 17 points and ten boards.

Meeker's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-11. As for North Fork, they dropped their record down to 10-10 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Meeker has already played their next contest, a 58-47 loss against De Beque on the 28th. As for North Fork, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 49-43 win against Peyton on the 28th.
