Soccer Recap: Chippewa Hills Comes Up Short

Chippewa Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Newaygo Lions. If Chippewa Hills were looking for revenge after losing 7-0 to Newaygo when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Chippewa Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Newaygo, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-4 record.

Coming up, Chippewa Hills will square off against Cadillac Heritage Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Newaygo, they will take on Ravenna at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Newaygo will be up against Ravenna's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.17 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
