Baseball Recap: Los Alamitos Extends Winning Streak to Three

Los Alamitos got themselves on the board against Rowland on Saturday, but Rowland never followed suit. Everything went their way against the Rowland Raiders as they made off with a 10-0 victory. Fans of the Griffins have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

JACK LORENZ looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on CADE BARNETT, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was WYATT JOYCE, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

Los Alamitos always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rowland only posted an OBP of .000.

The win was the third in a row for Los Alamitos, bringing their record for this year to 3-0. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs over those games. As for Rowland, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Los Alamitos will welcome Vista Murrieta at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Vista Murrieta will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Los Alamitos surely won't give up without a fight. As for Rowland, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Capistrano Valley Christian at 3:00 p.m.
