Basketball Game Preview: Paradise Panthers vs. Whitesboro Bearcats

Paradise has won nine straight games at home, while Whitesboro has won nine straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Paradise Panthers duke it out with the Whitesboro Bearcats at 6:15 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Tuesday, Paradise beat Boyd 55-45. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 201st, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 959th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Whitesboro didn't have too much trouble with Valley View on Tuesday as they won 68-54.

Whitesboro is also on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 24-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.9 points per game. As for Paradise, their win bumped their record up to 23-6.
