Basketball Game Preview: New Providence Pioneers vs. Glen Ridge Ridgers

The New Providence Pioneers will challenge the Glen Ridge Ridgers on Saturday. New Providence will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

New Providence is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 55-37 win over Haddon Township. 55 seems to be a good number for the Pioneers as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Glen Ridge had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.8 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They strolled past the Lakers with points to spare, taking the game 46-31.

Glen Ridge's win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for New Providence, their victory bumped their record up to 15-2.

New Providence came out on top in a nail-biter against Glen Ridge in their previous matchup back in March of 2020, sneaking past 51-48. Will New Providence repeat their success, or does Glen Ridge have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
