Basketball Recap: Elcho Takes a Loss

Elcho lost against Wabeno/Laona back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Elcho Hornets had to suffer through a 67-29 loss at the hands of the Wabeno/Laona Rebels. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 434th, while the Rebels are ranked 214th).

Elcho's loss was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Wabeno/Laona, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Elcho will host Goodman-Pembine at 5:30 p.m. on January 23rd. As for Wabeno/Laona, they will challenge Almond-Bancroft at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
