The Dansville Aggies will take on the Morrice Orioles at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Dansville came out on top against Waverly on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive 13-run first inning. The Aggies blew past the Warriors 19-1. The result was nothing new for the Aggies, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Laci Neal was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

In other batting news, Dansville got a massive performance out of Kaelee Foreman, who went 2-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those four runs gave Foreman a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Maddi Carter, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Dansville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in eight consecutive games.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Morrice). Everything went their way against Bendle on Monday as they made off with a 15-3 victory. The Orioles not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 29, 2024 (when they won 17-2).
Like Dansville, Morrice also got a great game from a two-way player: Caitlin Brewer. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. Brewer was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those stolen bases marked the first that she has snagged this season.
In other batting news, Belle Hoy was a standout: she got on base in all five of her plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Krissy Hovis was another key player, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one double.
Dansville is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. Morrice's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4.
Morrice's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Wednesday. Dansville has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 12.5 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Morrice, though, as they've been averaging only 3.4 strikeouts. Will Dansville keep running through batters, or will the Orioles buck the trend?
Dansville took their win against Morrice in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 15-1 score. Will the Aggies repeat their success, or do the Orioles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
