Football Game Recap: Geneva Classical Academy Knights vs. Liberty Christian Prep Lions

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Geneva Classical Academy Knights can now relate to. They were just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 27-26 to Liberty Christian Prep.

Despite the defeat, Geneva Classical Academy saw an underclassman step up: Bennett Bayhan rushed for 80 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, and also threw for 253 yards and two touchdowns. Bayhan is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Paxton Sullivan, who picked up 119 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Geneva Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Liberty Christian Prep, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-9.

Geneva Classical Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Liberty Christian Prep also has no future games currently scheduled.
