Clinton has gone a perfect 10-0 against Midway recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Clinton will take on Midway at 6:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Clinton fell victim to Croatan and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. While losing is never fun, Clinton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 309th, while Croatan are ranked 110th).

Meanwhile, Midway's game on Wednesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of East Bladen by a score of 1-0. Midway haven't had much luck with East Bladen recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Midway's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Clinton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's still a better percentage than their 1-6-1 record this season.

Everything went Clinton's way against Midway in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Clinton made off with a 9-0 win. Does Clinton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Midway turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
