Football Recap: Steel Valley Skates Past Waynesburg Central with Ease + How To Watch

While Steel Valley put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Waynesburg Central. The Ironmen simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Raiders 34-0. Given the Ironmen's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 120th, while the Raiders are ranked 408th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Da`Ron Barksdale was his usual excellent self, rushing for 160 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 79 yards and one TD. Barksdale is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 109 every time he's taken the field this season. Tyrell Breland was another key player, picking up 146 receiving yards and one score.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Steel Valley's defense and their six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Amir Randall and Rayvon Price, who racked up five sacks between them.

Steel Valley now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Waynesburg Central, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coming up, Steel Valley will be playing at home against Shady Side Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Waynesburg Central, they will venture away from home to square off against Seton LaSalle at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rebels will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight.
