Softball Recap: Kermit Yellow Jackets vs. McCamey Badgers
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Levelland, Kermit was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the McCamey Badgers 15-4. Considering the Yellow Jackets' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Aliha Saenz was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. That's the fewest hits she has allowed over her last eight contests. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Kermit got a massive performance out of Natalie Gomez, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Gomez a new career-high in hits (four). Hadley Hardaway was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI.
Kermit kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive matches.
