Softball Recap: Bayfront Charter Sharks vs. Mar Vista Mariners

Bayfront Charter proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 12) but on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Mar Vista Mariners 9-7.

Lizette Vargas was incredible, going 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI. Daniela Figueroa was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

On Mar Vista's side, LILYANA GUINTO made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was LAUREN HINZO, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
