Softball Recap: Bear River Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Bear River had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They never let the Marysville Indians get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-6 back in March.

The team relied heavily on Averie Lopez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases and one run. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

Bear River's victory bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Marysville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-19.

Coming up, Bear River will take on Oakmont at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bruins' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season. As for Marysville, they will venture away from home to challenge Colfax at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.93 runs per game on average), something the Indians will no doubt try to take advantage of.
