Recap: Pickens Blue Flame vs. Greenwood Eagles
The Pickens Blue Flame's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight defeat. They were dealt a 68-23 defeat at the hands of Greenwood. Pickens has not had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Pickens lost, one person who can't be blamed is Eli Doty. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds.
Jeremiah Brooks was his usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with two steals for Greenwood. The team also got some help courtesy of Cj Terrell, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Pickens' defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Greenwood, their win bumped their record up to 15-5.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Easley the next time they take the court. Greenwood will host Easley at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Pickens will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
